As a teacher assistant for a Campus Reading Interventionist, I employed evidence-based strategies from the Neuhaus Education curriculum to provide targeted small-group instruction in language arts, with a particular focus on reading. Neuhaus Education is a comprehensive literacy program that emphasizes systematic, explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. By breaking down complex reading skills into manageable steps, Neuhaus empowers students to become confident and proficient readers. I meticulously tracked student progress through data-based assessments, enabling me to adjust instruction as needed and celebrate individual achievements. Additionally, I collaborated with teachers and administrators to share best practices for small-group instruction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. To further support English Language Learners (ELLs), I facilitated a Spanish STAAR prep group, providing targeted language support and test-taking strategies. This collaborative approach helped ELL students develop the language skills necessary to succeed academically.
